The Amati family were amongst the most famous Italian violin makers of the 'golden' period. The Stentor 'Amati' is modelled after an original Nicolas Amati of 1649. Using the best quality, hand selected, European tonewoods and combined with Stentor's best craftsmen, the result is a fine instrument of accurate measurements, authentic appearance and excellent tone. The Amati model is distinguished by its deeply cut scroll, together with a narrower peg box and the distinctive shape and position of the 'F' holes. Premium ebony fittings and flame maple binding.
